The disadvantages of always eating late at night.
Eating late at night for a very long period of time is hazardous to the body and health.
These are the disadvantages of always eating very late at night:
1. You would gain much weight: Always eating at night would cause you to add more weight than you should, because of the lack of proper digestion that happens because of the inactivity of the body while sleeping.
2. Heart attack: Continually eating late at night would cause you heart problem because when your stamach is struggling to digest food while you are sleeping, the pressure of food metabolism can result in the loosing of Lower Esophagus Sphincter (LES), allowing undigested food and stamach acid to travel back up the Esophagus. So it's always good to give yourself at least two hours after eating, before you go to bed to prevent night-time reflux.
3. Poor memory and concentration levels: Eating at late night overtime can affect your brain. Timing of meals is of great importance, and has a great and good affect on brain phycology and behavior.
4. Eating disorder: If you always find yourself craving for bedtime snacks almost every day without even being hungry, you could be having NES or Night Eating Syndrome. So always try as much to eat earlier before going to bed. Probably, you can have the time that all eating stops at night.
Always try as much to eat earlier before going to bed, or if you must eat very late at night, then eat very little of it, and then drink enough water to help in digestion, especially if you were eating hard food.
